I feel that aside from graphics, sound is one of the most important parts of a game. (As far as basic details go, of course. Everyone knows that it's the game play that matters most.) It helps keep the player amused and can add humor, intensity, interest, drama, and fun to a game. There have been numerous games I've played in the past that have had horrible sounds/music, and I've turned the volume off just to keep from hearing it. On the other hand, I've been pulled toward some games just for the sounds and music. Although a lot of people play games mainly for the game play, what kind've sounds you put in a game can boost your game up or drag it down when it comes to interest.
Amazing as always
